Weight Loss...

In Philippians 1:3 -7, the Apostle Paul expressed these words of affection and gratitude to the beloved saints in Philippi. As he opened up this letter of encouragement he said, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: for even as it is meet (right) for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace” (emphasis mine).

Thankfully, we are not in a prison cell as Paul was when he communicated these sentiments, but the expression of our hearts for you are the same. Debra and I were overwhelmed with thanksgiving for all you did for us in recognition of our 35th Anniversary as co-laborers with you in ministry. The encouraging words, cards, gifts, having my brother here to speak along with all the outlay for the Saturday luncheon and Sunday picnic–the tangible and intangible were all amazing demonstrations of love, affirmation, and support. It was also refreshing to see many friends from days gone by here to celebrate with us. We truly felt appreciated and humbled at ALL the kind and thoughtful expressions. I know it is often said but nonetheless true, words are not adequate to articulate how grateful we were for this special day, one we will affectionately cherish for the rest of our lives.

Thank You,
