I am a missionary, primarily serving children living on the streets and impoverished communities in Cagayan De Oro, Philippines.
My relationship with Christ began on a cool summer night at church camp when I was a teenager. It was there I realized living for the things of this world never satisfies. Ever since then, through many ups and downs, my heart has beat to the wild sound of my Father’s heart. After I graduated from college, I went on a mission trip around the world, where I served in 11 countries in 11 months. It was during that year, that the Lord called me into full-time missions. So with a yes in my spirit and His promises close to my heart- I moved to the Philippines in April 2013, answering God’s call to love and serve His people there.
After learning the local language, I spent the majority of my time the first few years developing a drop-in center for street kids to come to during the day and building rehabilitation homes for them to finally have a home off of the street. I believe there is so much hope for them, regardless of their difficult life circumstances, and that God has a good future waiting for them if they will choose Him. Now that the ministry is established and run by local Filipinos and my language skills are fluent, I am able to expand into the local villages. Starting this year, I will be focusing more on discipleship and evangelism geared towards youth and young women in rural communities.
“But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only
I may finish the course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” –Acts 20:24—
